Your Sin
The bady of a partially unclothed woman is found in a yard behind a pub in the town of Dunmalcolm in Fife.
Inspector Shona Patterson investigates and discovers that that the victim was part of a group of blackmailers targeting men who would prefer to keep their sexual indiscretions secret.
One of the men targeted initially is Brian Lockwood, retired ex-colleague of Shona for whom she still carries a torch. Reluctantly at first, she is persuaded to renew their old partnership in their search for the killer.
Two more murders are committed and Shona and Brian find themselves in a race against time to find the killer before he or she strikes again – a race that puts both their lives at risk.

I really enjoyed this new piece of Scottish noir. I read at bedtime but usually only manage a few pages before falling asleep - this one had me staying up way too late because I wanted to know what happened next. The characters were well developed and the pace of the story perfect. Managed to keep intrigue right to the very end. Some humour, some heartbreak, some romance and a lot of grittiness.Hope there’s a new book out soon from this author.Posted on Colin-tVerified Your Sin: Excellent Book Gripping Story This is an excellent book with a twist in the end. It is well paced and the characters are well thought out and the backgrounds are well developed .The printing is very good, making a 500 page book easy to read. It looks like a new member of the Scottish Noir club.Posted on Joy BradfordVerified Your Sin: Detective story with a great twist This book is what you call a page turner, and one that I simply couldn't put down. I really enjoyed this novel. I was gripped from the first chapter and eager to see how the story would unfold. I loved reading chapters from different characters and understanding their perspectives. Lots of twists and turns that I did not see coming. I was left guessing until it was revealed. Some parts of this story are very graphic and there is mention of suicide. The epilogue was wonderful. Pertinent to the story but also a message of hope to the reader.Posted on Shona MellisVerified Your Sin: Fast paced and gripping! I really enjoyed this novel.
